Please use the following as the basis for any communications with enrollees who have a renewal for Oct., Nov. or Dec. 2023. These talking points can be adapted for use in phone calls, web content, newsletters, emails, text messaging, robo calls, recorded interactive voice response (IVR) scripts, and potentially other situations:
- For these cohorts, enrollees will get three additional months to return their renewal form.
- The new deadline for submitting renewal paperwork for these specific cohorts is as follows:
- October cohort deadline: December 31, 2023
- November cohort deadline: January 31, 2024
- December cohort deadline: February 29, 2024
- If enrollees have not returned their renewal form, they should do so immediately. Coverage may end sooner than the dates listed for enrollees determined to be no longer eligible.
- If an enrollee has already sent in the renewal form, no further action is needed unless the county or tribal agency sends a request for more information.
- Those who already completed their renewal and were determined ineligible for coverage after an eligibility review will still lose coverage on the date indicated on their closing notice. They may be eligible for another program such as MinnesotaCare or a qualified health plan (QHP) through MNsure.
- There will be no retroactive closures.
- Enrollees can learn when their renewal paperwork is due, update their contact information, get answers to frequently asked questions and more by visiting mn.gov/dhs/renewmycoverage.
