This is a message from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). We will now be texting you with important updates and announcements about your health insurance.

This is the only number we will text you from with updates about your health insurance. If you do not want to receive messages, reply STOP. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by texting STOP to 28343. After opting out, we will send a final message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this confirmation message, you will no longer receive text messages about your eligibility.

If you are experiencing issues with the text messaging program, you can text HELP to 28343 for help or by calling the DHS Health Care Consumer Support (HCCS) at 651-297-3862 or 800-657-3672. 

If you want to start receiving messages again, you can text JOIN to 28343. You can also contact us if you opt out and later change your mind.

If you do not opt out, you will receive occasional text messages about your health insurance eligibility. The following terms and conditions apply to the text messaging program:

• You do not have to agree to receive text messages from DHS. Choosing not to participate in the text messaging program will not impact your eligibility.
• We will send an initial text message to people who provided a valid cell phone number on their application for health care coverage.
• You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by texting STOP to 28343. After you opt out, DHS will send you a final message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.
• You are responsible for any message or data charges from your service provider that are associated with these messages. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless carrier.
• If you do not opt out, you may receive reoccurring text messages from DHS. These messages will include important health insurance eligibility notifications, such as reminders about deadlines and information that county or tribal servicing agencies, or DHS, need to renew your health care coverage.
• The text messages you receive may contain private information such as the the health care program in which you are enrolled (Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, Minnesota Family Planning Program or Medicare Savings Programs) and the date that your renewal is due. You are responsible for protecting the information on your phone.

• If you want to start receiving messages again, you can text JOIN to 28343. You can also contact HCCS if you opt out and later change your mind.
• DHS will keep your information secure. Your name and cell phone number will only be viewed by DHS employees and the text messaging provider as otherwise allowed or required by law.
