Economic assistance

The Minnesota Department of Human Services offers economic supports for qualifying individuals to assist them as they go to work, look for work, attend school or are unable to work.

Emergency help

Facing an eviction, foreclosure or utility shut-off? Depending on your income, you may qualify for help.

Food and nutrition

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps eligible Minnesotans get the food they need for sound nutrition and well-balanced meals.

Housing

DHS works to ensure that appropriate housing is available for people by integrating housing, services and income supports to enable adults to live in their communities.

Income

Adults without children in the home, seniors and people with disabilities may get help through the General Assistance (GA) or Minnesota Supplemental Aid (MSA) programs.
