Special Needs Purchasing (SNP) is a unit within the Department of Human Services (DHS) Health Care Administration. The SNP team organizes advisory meetings throughout the year for seniors and people with disabilities who have healthcare coverage including long term care services and supports through a managed care organization (MCO). These meetings are open to the public and aim to bring together enrollees, interested parties, MCOs, and DHS to discuss updates and gather feedback related to managed care in Minnesota. This advisory group fulfills the requirements under Minnesota Statutes, 256B.69 Sub.28 (d) which requires a state-level advisory committee.
To request an accommodation for a meeting, email DHS.SNP.Stakeholders@state.mn.us at least one week prior to the meeting. A member of the Special Needs Purchasing team will follow up with you to address your accommodation request.
