Health Services Advisory Council (HSAC)
The 14-member council (including 13 voting members) consists of physicians, other health care providers, and a consumer representative, and provides leadership in designing health care benefit and coverage policies for Minnesota’s public health care programs. A particular focus of HSAC is evidence-based coverage policy, in which decisions regarding health care services paid for by public programs are made using the best available research on their effectiveness.
