Brent Boyd

Human Resources Consultant

Brent has extensive experience working with the Merit System’s many functional areas, including the areas of assessment, classification, compensation, performance management and labor relations. 

Currently he provides lead work direction and consultation to Merit System staff, along with advanced level human resources management consultation and services to county human and social service agencies. This work includes leading the county personnel system certification review process, which ensures that counties are in compliance with the Federal Standards for a Merit System of Personnel Administration, the State of Minnesota County Personnel Act, and human resources best practices. 

Brent also provides support to the Merit System Operations Committee and the Merit System Council. In addition, Brent routinely performs duties related to the classification and posting of management and supervisory positions, and the assessment of candidates for those positions.
