- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Federal law enacted to prohibit discrimination and ensure equal opportunity for persons with disabilities in employment, state and local government services, public accommodations, commercial facilities and transportation.
- Benefits.gov: Features information about federal programs that lets citizens determine the benefit programs for which they may be eligible.
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS): Federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services responsible to administer the Medicare and Medicaid program.
- Disability Resources: Disability-related resources on programs, services, laws and regulations to help people with disabilities lead full, independent lives. Visitors can find critical information on a variety of topics, including benefits, civil rights, community life, education, emergency preparedness, employment, housing, health, technology and transportation.
- Federal Register Online: Official daily publication for rules, proposed rules and notices of federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.
- HealthCare.gov: Federal website provides consumers with information about private and public health coverage options, including Minnesota Health Care Programs, in a single, easy-to-use tool.
- National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR): The federal government’s primary disability research organization. NIDILRR is part of the Administration for Community Living.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH): Federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that supports some 35,000 research projects nationwide.
- Social Security Online: Official website of the Social Security Administration provides one-stop access to information.
- U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS): Federal agency responsible to protect the health of all Americans and provide essential human services.
