How do I apply?
Apply for MA using a paper application and mail the application or take it to your county or tribal office.

You can:
- Print a paper application form
- Call or go to your county or tribal office
- Call 651-431-2670 or 800-657-3739 and ask to have an application mailed to you

Does it matter when I apply?
Yes, the date we get your paper application affects when your coverage can start. Coverage may start:
- The first day of the month we get your paper application
- Three months before the month we get your paper application
- The first day of the month after you pay your first premium, if you have one
What happens after I submit my application?
If we need more information to decide if you can get coverage, you will get a letter in the mail telling you what information we need.

If we don't need more information, we will send you a letter telling you if you or any household members:
- Can get coverage and if you will have to pay for it
- Cannot get coverage and why
If you do not agree with any decisions made, the letter also tells you how to ask for a review of a decision.
