Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO)

The Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO) combines separate health programs and support systems into one health care package. It is a voluntary program for people ages 65 or older who are eligible for Medical Assistance (MA) and enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B.

MSHO Performance Improvement Projects
Stratis Health provides support and assistance to MSHO health plans in developing, implementing, and evaluating performance improvement projects (PIPs).
- Past initiatives addressed blood pressure control for members with diabetes, new member utilization of preventive care, depression screening, Pneumococcal vaccination, calcium and Vitamin D supplementation, and aspirin therapy for members with diabetes and ischemic vascular disease.
- Current MSHO initiatives include spirometry testing for COPD and Transitions of Care: improved post-discharge follow up care.
