Certified health care navigators are trained experts who provide free help with applying for and managing Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare programs. Their help is confidential and available to anyone who wants support completing an application or understanding program eligibility.
Navigators are located across Minnesota through community organizations, clinics, nonprofits, county and Tribal Nation staff.

- Certified helpers trained by the Department of Human Services
- Local experts who understand Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare rules
- Trusted community partners who work in clinics, nonprofits, counties and Tribal Nation organizations
- Free to use
What they help with
You can choose how much help you want. Navigators can help with:
- Creating or signing into your LoginMN account for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare
- Completing an online application for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare
- Uploading documents or helping to verify required information
- Understanding notices or requests for information sent by your eligibility worker
- Reporting life changes, such as income or household updates
- Renewing your health insurance coverage
