Assistant Commissioner for Agency Effectiveness

Martha Josephson serves as assistant commissioner assistant commissioner for Agency Effectiveness. In this role, she leads and coordinates with internal and external partners on major initiatives, special projects and cross-agency collaboration.

Josephson comes to the agency with over 20 years of experience partnering with and advising leaders within the private and public sectors, including the Department of Agriculture, the State Emergency Operations Center during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in Washington D.C. 

She holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and English from Valparaiso University and a master’s degree in comparative ethnic conflict from Queen’s University.
