Meeting objectives
- Get final, collective agreement on the task force recommendation letter to the Legislature.
- Clarify and agree on next steps.
Welcome
- The fifth meeting convening members of the Advisory Task Force on Waiver Reimagine was held virtually via Cisco Webex.
- This special one-hour meeting was scheduled so the task force could review and approve a letter to the Legislature recommending that the state pause the implementation of Waiver Reimagine.
- Frances Van Houten, the meeting facilitator, shared an overview of the meeting agenda and attendee expectations.
- Support staff took attendance and confirmed that a quorum was present.
Legislative recommendations letter
- The task force voted to release a letter recommending that the WR implementation be delayed for 24 to 36 months.
- The vote count was as follows (Three task force members gave their proxy to the facilitator or a fellow task force member):
- Yes: 12
- Yes (during meeting): 9
- Yes (via proxy): 3
- No: 1
- Abstain: 2
- Yes: 12
- This letter will be sent to the governor’s office and key members of the House and Senate.
