Application Information Session

Course description

The Department of Human Services Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder, and Children’s Residential Facility (MH/SUD/CRF) licensing unit offers information session webinars about how to apply for the following DHS license or certification types:

The information session will include an overview of the purpose of a license or certification, application requirements, application process, and general policy writing.

The information session is designed for those who meet the following prerequisites:

  • prospective or current applicant for one or more of the above service types
  • knowledgeable of requirements for the service type, including MN Statutes, chapter 245A, and
  • knowledgeable of requirements to operate a business in Minnesota.

It may help to review the license application before the information session. When reviewing the application, select a license type in order to see the full application.

The information in the session is to provide the potential applicant with general skills to complete and submit an application. The presentation does not provide training on starting and operating a program as we are unable to provide legal or business advice. The DHS Licensing Division is unable to provide advice on programming, quality improvement, or obtaining payment for services beyond licensing requirements.
