Billing lab for Acupuncture providers

In this training, you will learn how to:

• Navigate the MHCP provider webpages, including:
  • Provider tools and resources
  • MHCP provider basics
  • Acupuncture provider manual section
• Read the remittance advice (RA) and understand where you can locate the RA in your MN–ITS mailbox
• Use MN–ITS online billing system, including:
  • Administration
  • Mailboxes
  • Eligibility requests (270/271)
  • Professional claim submissions (837P)
  • Learn how to copy, replace or void a claim
  • Claim status requests (276/277)

• Have your MN–ITS username and password to access your MN–ITS account
• If you do not have a MN–ITS username or password, contact your organization’s MN–ITS administrator
• If your organization has not yet registered, use your MN–ITS registration letter to register for MN–ITS and assign the delegated billing person a username and password before attending this training. Contact the MHCP Provider Call Center if you need a copy of your letter.

Sessions are available on the following dates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include time for breaks and lunch. We will provide the same information on each of the following dates:

• Wednesday, Apr. 29, 2020 – webinar only
• Wednesday, May 27, 2020 – webinar only

In-person training will be held at the Minnesota Department of Human Services, 444 Lafayette Rd., St. Paul, 55101.

Parking: DHS will email your parking information and a parking permit about three days before the lab training begins. Shuttle service from and to the parking location occurs every 15 minutes before and after each lab session. You must display your parking permit in your vehicle. DHS is not responsible for vehicles, including those parked in the wrong location or parked without a visible parking permit. 

You will receive an email invitation about three days before your scheduled training date at the email address you provide during the registration process.

Participants will:

• Connect to the webinar from their own computers and do not need special hardware or software
• Communicate with the presenter(s) and others in the audience using the chat feature available as part of the webinar session

Participants need the following to attend the webinar sessions:

• Internet access 
• Speakers or headset

Register online for the training session. There is no cost for this training. Once a session fills up, MHCP will remove it as a selection from the online system.
