The Minnesota State Quality Council creates work groups to focus on specific topics or needs. Work groups that are currently meeting include:

Governance

Mission: This group provides the governing framework for the council via policies and processes so that council members can efficiently address our society’s needs around quality disability supports, govern for the common good and sustain a just democracy.

Meetings: 1 to 3 p.m. on the first Friday of the month in Room 3144 at Minnesota Department of Human Services, 444 Lafayette Road, St. Paul, MN 55155

Legislative
Person-Centered Quality Review

Mission: Develop brief and person-centered quality review tools and process that regional quality councils can use. Continue to evaluate and improve these tools and process

Meetings: 10 a.m. to noon on fourth Fridays (in alignment with SQC meetings) at Department of Human Services, 444 Lafayette Road, St. Paul.

Quality monitoring: Fun with numbers

Chair: Sarah Thorson

Members: Peggy Crolick, Nicole Stockert, Samantha Drost, Alice Hulbert, Steve Larson, Odi Akosionu (staff), Lisa Harrison-Hadler, Brent Krocak, Beth Pierce, Kerri Leucuta

Mission: The mission of the Quality Monitoring group is to quantify the quality of services in Minnesota, provide baseline and trend information, identify “red flags”, gaps in services as well as data, and measure improvement.

Meetings: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on fourth Friday of the month, in conjunction with State Quality Council meetings, at Department of Human Services, 444 Lafayette Road, St. Paul.

Regional Quality Council

Co-chairs: LeAnn Bieber, Mickey Kyler

Members: Peggy Crolick, John Flanders, Zoey Leege, Kerri Leucuta, Kayla Nance, Rijuta Pathre, Tim Sullivan

Mission: The RQCs will provide support to the regional quality councils established by the SQC, particularly in the areas of planning and operationalizing the goals of the SQC for the regional quality councils.
