View reports and audits related to managed care plans. The Department of Human Services (DHS) is required by Gov. Dayton’s Executive Order 11-06 (PDF) or the Legislature to create and make public these reports.

- Actuarial Review of Medicaid Managed Care Rate Setting 2013, DHS-4569 (PDF)
  DHS engaged The Segal Company to conduct a review and analysis of the processes and methodologies used by prior consultants, actuaries, and departmental personnel to set managed care rates for state fiscal years 2003 through 2011 (July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2011).

  These are recommendations on community benefit activities that should be required of Minnesota nonprofit managed care plans.
Value of managed care

DHS contracted with Public Consulting Group (PCG) to author a report on the value of managed care for state public health care programs required by Minnesota Sessions Laws 2012, Chapter 247, Article 1, Section 31. Specifically, PCG was tasked with determining the value of managed care for Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) in comparison with a fee-for-service (FFS) delivery system.
