Stacy Twite

Chief of Staff

Stacy Twite serves as chief of staff for the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Prior to being named chief of staff, Twite served as interim assistant commissioner in the department's Community Supports Administration and as director of Fiscal Analysis and Performance Management for the Continuing Care for Older Adults and Community Supports administrations. In that role, she oversaw fiscal analysis data analytics across multiple program areas and program evaluation and analysis related to long-term services and supports programs. 

Twite began working for DHS in 2009, first in policy development in the Disability Services Division, and later as a legislative director for the Continuing Care for Older Adults and Community Supports administrations. There she led major policy change initiatives, directed the legislative agenda for multiple policy areas, advised department leadership and staff on legislative initiatives, and worked with stakeholders — including legislators, lobbyists, advocates, constituents, legislative staff and other state agencies — on department policy changes and legislative activities.

Twite has a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs in Minneapolis and bachelor’s degrees in social work and sociology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
