Statistics and trends

People who work in programs licensed by the department are required to report suspected abuse and neglect. All reports are investigated to determine the validity and severity of the alleged maltreatment. In addition to the summary data below, the department issues in-depth reports (link to page) about longer-term trends and issues about these investigations.
